Robinson Township's Annual Clean Up Day

Meet at Settler's Ridge Giant Eagle Cafe - Second Floor - at 9:00 a.m.

Clean Up DayIn conjunction with Earth Day, Robinson Township will host its Annual Clean-Up Day on Saturday, April 29. Meet at the Giant Eagle Market District in Settlers Ridge around 9:00 a.m. Join us on the second floor of the food court area. Community groups and individuals are invited to "pitch in" with the township's efforts to pick up litter and trash that has accumulated after the long winter months. Robinson Township will provide gloves, reflective vests and trash bags. Contact Jane Tallon at jtallon@townshipofrobinson.com for more information.

We will have letters available upon request for those who are looking for community service. Settlers Ridge is located just off of Church Hill Road or Campbell's Run Road.

Citizens' Police Academy
Tuesdays - April 4-May 9
6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Sign up for Robinson Township's Citizens' Police Academy, an information class designed to give citizens and the community a better understanding of the criminal justice system along with the various roles police officers play in the community. This program is FREE for all participants. Click here to download a Citizens' Police Academy application.

Police AcademyThe classes will cover information on several key law enforcement topics, such as:
  • police officer training,
  • self defense,
  • patrol responsibilities,
  • community-oriented policing (COPS),
  • homicide and narcotics investigations,
  • the role of the court system.
  • use of force issues,
  • crime scene management,
  • active shooter responses,
  • Refusing to be a Victim program
Students will have the opportunity to use a firearm simulator, and a Police K-9 demonstration and County 911 dispatch demonstration will also be provided. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion and also have an opportunity to participate in a "ride along" program with an officer for one shift.

General requirements to be eligible to participate in this class:
  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be free from any illegal drug use.
The Citizens' Police Academy is conducted for informative and educational purposes ONLY. It does NOT qualify participants to become police officers in any form. If you wish to become certified as a police officer, information can be provided to you.
