Changes in Local Earned Income Tax Collection
Beginning in 2012

Has your employer given you a Residency Certification Form to complete for the withholding of local earned income tax? Starting January 1, 2012 all employees in the state of Pennsylvania will have their local earned income tax withheld from their paychecks. This is a change in the way the current earned income tax is collected due to a change in state law. It is NOT a new tax or tax increase.
