| The Robinson Township Police Department is the primary law enforcement entity of Robinson Township, a first class township in the southwestern area of Pennsylvania. Located in Allegheny County, midway between the City of Pittsburgh and the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport, the Robinson Township Police Department consists of 26 full-time officers, one lieutenant and four sergeants headed by Chief Dale Vietmeier. The Department participates in DARE, a school-based drug awareness program, Adopt-A-School, a nine-week program aimed at ninth graders to familiarize them with different facets of police work and entities and DANET, part of the District Attorneys Drug enforcement program. The Department also maintains a bicycle patrol that patrols the Montour Trail. |

The Robinson Township Police Department is dedicated to the safety and service of the community and its citizenry. Its Primary Goal is to provide the police services of criminal suppression and prosecution through investigation, patrol and pro-active law enforcement as well as public safety and assistance to the citizens of Robinson Township through its traffic enforcement and investigation and community involvement.
